The Mayors Cup Charity Golf Tournament sponsored by the Burbank Sunrise Kiwanis on April 25, 15 DeBell Golf Course was a great success, organizers said.

"There is no better way to show support for our community than investing in our youth," said Mike Caggiano, Kiwanis member nad of one of the organizers of the tournament. "100% of the proceeds from the Mayors Cup will go directly into programs that have a proven track record in the area of youth services."

In addition to supporting services and charitable organizations that benefit our community, the Mayors Cup Golf Tournament honors the past mayors of Burbank. Commemorating the "Official Mayors Day" in the city of Burbank, all past mayers are invited to participate in the tournament activities. Some of the mayors attending included Lee Ayers, Dave Golonsky, Marshal Ramos, Mary Lou Howard, William Rudell, Larry Stamper, Mike Hastings, Vince Stefano and Dave Laurell.

A Flight team winners were: 1st Place (won Cobra drivers) - Robert Kaczmarek [BCEA Vice President], Brian Mole [BCEA Member-At-Large], Dave Orozco and Brian Hannick [BCEA members].

2nd Place (won Cobra 3 woods) - Tanya Fasanella, Ana M. Lizarraga, Peacha Nogueira, and Sergik Sarkisian; 3rd Place (won Cobra bafflers) - Chuck Cusumano, Tom Garrison, Joe Kaplan and Tom Kaplan.

B Flight team winners were: 1st Place (won three-lesson package) - Joe Marando, Bob Williams, Michael Shader and Chris Weerts; 2nd Place (onw two-lesson package) - William Ruddell, Chris Gargaro, Larry Stamper and Jim Stamper; 3rd Place (won 1 Lesson package) - Darrell Taylor, Phil Alvarado, Al Olivas and Boris Tuch.

First Palce High School Division: Justin Gillette and Walter Cohn from Burbank High School and Juliano Crescenzo and John Lepe from Bellarmine-Jefferson High School. The Long Drive winners for men and women were Al Martens and Carol M. Schilf, and for High School Girls the winner was Emily Tubert. They all won Cobra drivers.

The Tournament will benefit the Burbank Boys & Girls Club, Burbank Family Service Angecy, Homeless and Underprivileged Children, Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, Burbank Schools, Boy Scouts of America and many others.
