Section A

SALARY SCHEDULE - JULY 1, 2005-2008

  1. Effective July 1, 2005, the salaries for all BCEA positions will be increased up to a maximum of 4% of the total salaries for the BCEA bargaining unit as shown in EXHIBIT F.

  2. Effective July 1, 2006, the salaries for all BCEA positions will be increased up to a maximum of 4% of the total salaries for the BCEA bargaining unit on a prorated methodology agreed to by the City and the union based on survey. The survey will use only data available as of June 20, 2006. There will be no retroactivity on salaries.

  3. Effective July 1, 2007, the salaries for all BCEA positions will be increased up to a maximum of 4% of the total salaries for the BCEA bargaining unit on a prorated methodology agreed to by the City and the union based on survey. The survey will use only data available as of June 20, 2007. There will be no retroactivity on salaries.

    Prior to June 20, 2007, the parties agree to review the benchmarks to determine if they are appropriate and to make changes mutually acceptable to the City and BCEA.

  4. Not withstanding the provisions of item three above, salaries will be increased effective July 1, 2007, b 1% for all positions represented by BCEA who have not received an increase in salary during the term of this MOU. Any salary increases paid in accordance with Section 5 will be charged against the 4% maximum as provided in Section 3.

  5. Retroactive payments, if any, will be completed by the payday following the fourth (4th) full payroll period after City Council approval of this Memorandum of Understanding.

  6. In the 1999-2002 MOU, the salaries of Library Clerks and Intermediate Clerks were equalized. Subsequent to this MOU, the salary increases for these two classes were dependant on their own benchmark of the benchmark they were tied to.
