President's Message by Darrin G. Borders - President

With the summer months behind us it's time to get back to business. I still encourage you to contact the office if there is something we have not yet addressed on your behalf. Now is a good time for us to update you on the progress we have made to this point and to make sure your concerns are being attended to. Below are a few updates on what is currently going on!

BCEA NEGOTIATIONS ABOUT TO BEGIN!!!

The current MOU will expire on June 30, 2008. In an effort to get a jump on the many issues we plan to bring to the "table," we are starting the process early. Please fill out the initial member survery in this mailing an d return it to the BCEA office. Your input is very important and I cannot stress enough how vital each and every member is to this process! The BCEA needs YOUR direction and input so that we negotiate the contract that YOU want. This is only the initial survey. A follow-up survey is planned for late Novewmvber that will include updated retirement package numb ers and a more concise review of the issues we want to ask for. Please return your initial survey by Friday, October 19th.
