We have concluded contract negotiations and are presenting a package to the membership. This is a three year contract.
First year 4.0% in salary adjustments based on survey data.
Second year 4.0% in salary adjustments based on survey data.
Third year 4.0% in salary adjustments based on survey data.
First year BWP equities for Engineering, Pipefitter, Water Plant, & Welder power plant assigned (0.67%)
Cafeteria/Medical Premiums January 2006 - Current employees will maintain $515.19 cafeteria, and up to $565.00 for 2 party medical, and up to $735.00 for 3+ party medical. Employees hired after January 1, 2006 will receive $300.00 cafeteria and up to $315.00 for 1 party medical, $565.00 for 2 party, $735.00 for 3+ party.
Cafeteria/Medical Premiums December 2006 - Current employees will maintain $515.19 cafeteria, and up to $610.20 for 2 party medical, and up to $793.80 for 3+ party medical. Employees hired after January 1, 2006, will receive $300.00 cafeteria and up to $340.20 for 1 party medical, $610.20 for 2 party medical and $793.80 for 3+ party.
Cafeteria/Medical Premiums December 2007- Current employees will maintain $515.19 cafeteria, and up to $740.00 for 2 party medical, and up to $960.00 for 3+ medical. Employees hired after January 1, 2006 will receive $300.00 cafeteria and up to $361.00 for 1 party medical, $740.00 for 2 party medical, and $960.00 for 3+ party.
Increase tool allowance from $470.00 to $500.00 in July 2006.
Add employees working with lead abatement to asbestos abatement differential.
1% differential for certified crane operators with supervisor decision.
Indemnity Dental plan for all employees working 30+ hours/week with $26.25 flat monthly employee co-pay, July 2007.
Departments will have discretion to offer retention bonuses up to 5.25% for classifications requiring added retention.
Total value of the MOU is 14.556% or $6,034,701. This is a good contract that will get our salaries to "Market" and improve benefits. The Retirement Coalition (BCEA, IBEW & BMA), is meeting next week to discuss 2.5% @ 55. I should have more information at Thursday's meeting. See the Survey Adjustments at the bottom of this page.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2005 5:30PM IATSE LOCAL 80 330 Olive Avenue The 2005 BCEA Executive Board cordially invites all BCEA Members/Associate Members (only) to attend the Annual Meeting/Holiday Party on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at IATSE Local 80. The BCEA will provide a delicious catered meal by Monte Carlo Deli including pasta, sandwiches, salads, rolls, and drinks. We will begin serving shortly after 5:30pm. Immediately following the dinner, we will be having a short business meeting which will include a President's Report, and Election Committee Report and the swearing in of the 2006 Executive Board and Stewards. Every BCEA Member/Associate Member (only) who attends the meeting will receive a food ticket, one prize drawing ticket, and one gift from the BCEA. We have lots of door prices including: TV, VCR, DVD Player, MP3 players, and many more great prizes. |
