PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE - ROBERT A. KACZMAREK -
Preparations for the 2002 contract negotiations have begun. We have provided the 2002 member survey in our hard copy newsletter. Please fill it out and return it to the BCEA Office by March 28, 2002. Let us know what areas are important to you. Your input will help define the issues for the negotiations team. A salary survey will be another area we will address this year. These equity adjustments should make our salaries competitive for our market.
UPDATE
The AFSCME September 11 Relief Fund has raised over $800,000, thanks to the generous contributions from members. Families of our nine lost workers have each received a $25,000 check to help with emergency expenses. They will also received $3,000 for each child. Donations will be used to further assist surviving members and their families. Contributions are tax deductible.

WELLNESS DEADLINE
June 18, 2002 is the last day to submit your wellness receipts to the BCEA Office for the 2002-2002 FY. The new fiscal year beings on July 1, 2002.
ARCHWIRELESS PAGER PRICE CHANGE
The three year price agreement for pagers the BCEA has been using since 1996 has been renegotiated. The new prices are about $1.00 a month more. Here is a list of the new prices:

TRIVIA CHALLENGE 2002
The Friends of the Burbank Public Library produly present Trivia Challenge 2002 for the benefit of the Literacy Services program. Fritz Coleman will be the guest host for the event scheduled for Thusday, March 21, 2002 at 7:00pm at the Castaway Restaurant Starlight Ballroom. There will be an Appetizer and Dessert Buffet at 6:30pm with a Silent Auction and Door Prizes. Tickets are on sale now for $15 per person ($20 at the door). For more information call 238-5577. MAMMOTH MOUTAIN DISCOUNT LIFT TICKETS
The BCEA Office has Lift Ticket Vouchers for $46.00 that's a $10.00 savings. Tickets are good for the rest of the season.
