PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE - ROBERT A. KACZMAREK

Hello, the BCEA is proud to announce that the Annual Picnic this year will be on Sunday, May 7, 2000, at Magic Mountain. Please buy your tickets at the BCEA Office early as they are limited, and remember that the BCEA accepts checks or exact change only. The newest rollercoaster, Golliath, is now open. Included with each ticket is a September Hurricane Harbor Admission ticket. Please visit the Group Event page for more information.

LOCAL CONSTITUTION -

The last time we amended our Local Constitution in December of 1998, a Convention Delegate Provision was tabled for information from the International. The correct way is to include being a delegate into the duties of each Officer. Enclosed is the proposed change which will avoid having two elections in the same year and the costs associated with the election. We will be discussing this issue at the Membership Meeting.

MERIT PAY & UNIFORM COMMITTEES -

The Merit Pay Committee has met several times and are researching all issues for the best solutions for all involved.

The Uniform Committee is reviewing options for rented uniforms in the possibility of replacing Mission.

WELLNESS REIMBURSEMENT REMINDER -

Finalize your wellness purchases/memberships as soon as possible. No wellness receipt submitted after June 20, 2000, will be accepted. You have three more Executive Board Meetings to receive approval. Don't miss the boat!

LAUGHLIN TRIP -

The Recreation Committee is planning a Laughlin bus trip August 18-20 staying at the Flamingo Hilton in Laughlin. We will be providing you with further information in the near future.

AFLAC INSURANCE -

AFLAC is available to all members via payroll deduction for cancer, hospital intensive care, accident/disability protection, and hospital indemnity insurances. Medicare supplements and senior products are also available. AFLAC representative Mona Marcos will be attending the Membership Meeting to answer all questions and to sign up anyone who is interested.

ATTENDANCE DRAWING -

The winner of the Attendance drawing at our last meeting was Doris Crutcher who walked away with $200. Congratulations Doris!! The drawing will be for $25.00 for this meeting.
